CZECH HEDGEHOG Covilhã, Portugal, 2024: The installation “Czech Hedgehog”, located in the city of Covilhã, Portugal, fuses kinetic art and public sculpture.
Inspired by a World War II anti-tank structure characterised by its cruciform design, the work re-signifies this powerful historical object loaded with symbolism to propose this contemporary kinetic sculpture.

With a minimalist and interactive approach, the sculpture establishes a dynamic dialogue with the natural environment and observers, inviting them to re-examine their perception of space and movement.

Integrating form, audience, movement and time, “Czech Hedgehog” transcends its physical existence, catalysing a dialogue that redefines the viewer’s relationship with space and the work.
